December 22, 2008: MASSACHUSETTS PROFESSIONAL POKER PLAYER AND MEDIA PERSONALITY BERNARD LEE RELEASES SECOND BOOK WITH MORE INSIGHTS AND LESSONS
BOSTON, Ma. - Professional poker player Bernard Lee’s second book continues where the first left off: uncovering the world of tournament circuit poker one column at a time. The book is a compilation of Lee’s popular columns in the Sunday Boston Herald enhanced with fresh notes of insight and observation. The columns provide readers with quick and easy lessons using real life poker scenarios
The Final Table, Volume II, published by iUniverse, begins with a forward by six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner TJ Cloutier, with whom Lee has taught numerous World Poker Tour boot camps. Cloutier commends Lee’s tight aggressive style and says he “has a fine understanding of the game of poker.”

The Final Table, Volume II shares its name with Lee’s Sunday column and is comprised of his Boston Herald columns from January 2007 through June 2008. The book will be available for $19.95 through Lee’s website, www.bernardleepoker.com, on the morning of Dec. 23.
Players seek Lee out to learn about his style of play, hoping they can pick up some of his noted discipline and analysis to improve their games as well, according to Ryan Lucchesi of Cardplayer.com. Lee is a force in the poker media world who has become synonymous with New England.
“While many people might think of Dan Harrington and his green Red Sox hat when they think of poker and Boston, it is really Lee who is the voice of poker in New England,” Lucchesi said.
Lee’s teachings have helped many poker players advance their skills, including 2008 World Poker Tour Borgata Open Main Event Champion Vivek Rajkumar. “His encouragement and teaching were the foundation for my ongoing tournament career,” said Rajkumar, who called Lee a mentor. “Without a question, The Final Table, Volume II will help improve your game,” Rajkumar said.
Poker ambassador and World Poker Tour commentator Mike Sexton commends Lee’s contributions to the poker world. “His books are no exception as they incorporate two of his many strengths: teaching and writing,” Sexton said.
Lee began writing for the Boston Herald in September 2005, two months after he finished 13th in the 2005 WSOP and became the top New England finisher. He also writes regular columns for the ESPN.com Poker Club, PokerNewsDaily.com and contributes to several magazines.
Lee traded in his career in medical device marketing at Boston Scientific Corporation in the summer of 2007 to become a professional poker player. On the professional poker circuit, Lee has amassed more than $1.35 million in career winnings and captured three tournament titles.
In the poker media world, Lee hosts New England’s only poker radio show, “The Bernard Lee Poker Show,” broadcast on 1510 AM The Zone and Rounder’s Radio (www.roundersradio.com). He is also a regular instructor for the well-known World Poker Tour Boot Camp and is a poker commentator, most recently for www.worldseriesofpoker.com and the Eastern Poker Tour.
In October, Lee’s captured his third World Poker Finals title in three years at Foxwoods Resort and Casino. Lee entered the final table of the $600 no-limit hold ’em shoot-out on Oct. 27 as the chip leader and never relinquished his lead during the seven hour final table. He walked away with $22,893 in prize money and the championship trophy.
